On October 4, 2025, the inaugural Long Island North Shore Dragon Boat Festival was grandly held at North Hempstead Beach Park on Roslyn Bay. The event featured dragon boat races, art performances, river lantern festivals, and food and commercial activities. The dragon boat race attracted 34 enthusiastic teams, including three from the Great Neck Chinese Association.
